How to Start

So you’re ready to start on your glamorous new website design? Perfect! Here is a quick checklist help your new website roll out smoothly.

1. Lock in your business name

Don’t let all that brainstorming or you’re ooh-la-la moment go to waste! Once you have chosen your name lock it in by purchasing the matching domain (You’re .com, .net, ect..). Did you know some domain registrants will log in your searches and if you’re not fast enough someone else can snatch it up? Safely search to see if it’s available: Domain safe search

When you’re ready to purchase your domain, we recommend any of the following: Namecheap.com, Name.com or Godaddy

Now be sure to do the same for your Facebook Fanpage, Twitter, and other social media outlets.

2. Get in Touch

Next you can get an touch with us here to receive your free quote. You may show us links to sites you like design and feature wise, this greatly helps us get an idea of what you are looking for. Be sure to provide details about your business and future goals. You may let us know if you need a shopping cart, have a deadline or require special features so we can know ahead of time.

Remember we want everyone to have a glamorous website so we always provide payment installment plans for all our website packages. We also work in milestones so we’ll provide a timeline of our services for each of your payments before starting.

Once we receive your information and you would like to move forward we can schedule a consultation/phone meeting. Here we’ll give you a clear understanding of what the design process will entail, and address any important questions you may have.

Candy Crayon always provides unlimited revisions to make sure you are 100% happy with your design. We not only offer you the option to update your site but we also provide you with WordPress video tutorials and are always available for support. We are also available for additional design services for your expanding business.

3. Find the perfect images

Sometimes hiring a professional photographer isn’t in your budget, or taking your own images isn’t an option -that’s where stock photography comes in. Try to find images that best represent your services, and not too ‘stock’ looking. The more real it appears, the more it can connect to your audience.

4. Gather all your information together

Write up your text for your additional pages, welcome messages, bio and other content writing. You may pair our services with our writing partner to revise or help you tell your story. You will also want to get your social media links, contact info, and other important information setup.
